M.Y Studio’s Yin Yang Yoga program seamlessly integrates "dynamic energy" with "restorative stillness." The first half of the session focuses on Yang Yoga, featuring fluid sequences designed to boost circulation, detoxify through sweat, and build muscular strength. The latter half transitions into Yin Yoga, utilizing prolonged holds to nourish the joints and deep connective tissues. This practice is designed to harmonize your internal energy, leaving you feeling revitalized and profoundly balanced.

This specialized program focuses on strengthening the core musculature to enhance internal support and bodily stability. While ideal for intermediate practitioners seeking a strength-based practice, this course is also beginner-friendly. It provides newcomers with a solid structural foundation, building the necessary power and stability to progress safely toward advanced yoga milestones.

Can I join if I have no prior yoga experience or very poor flexibility?

The fundamental purpose of practicing yoga is to improve flexibility and core strength; it is not a prerequisite to be flexible before you begin. At M.Y Studio, our instructors provide a variety of "modified poses" and professional prop recommendations (such as yoga blocks and straps) tailored to different skill levels. This ensures that every student can safely and accurately experience the benefits of stretching within their own physical capacity.

Can yoga help alleviate "urban ailments"?

Yoga practice is exceptionally effective in alleviating common "urban ailments." Our curriculum is specifically designed to address postural issues such as rounded shoulders, kyphosis (hunchback), and chronic back pain. By targeting and stretching chronically tight muscles—such as the pectoralis major and hip flexors—while strengthening underactive core muscles, we help you effectively correct your alignment and alleviate the physical strain caused by prolonged computer and smartphone use.

Which yoga class should I choose?

  • Deep Relaxation & Stress Relief: We recommend Yin Yoga. By holding poses for an extended period, it effectively releases tension in the deep connective tissues (fascia) and promotes mental tranquility.

  • A Balance of Energy & Detoxification: Yin Yang Yoga is an excellent choice. It seamlessly combines the detoxification of a sweat-inducing "Yang" practice with the restorative stillness of "Yin" yoga.

  • Body Sculpting & Toning: Our functional training sessions, such as Core & Booty, are designed to precisely target your core and glutes, enhancing muscle definition and internal stability.
